Road Base

Recycled crushed concrete makes and excellent subgrade when constructing roads, parking lots, building slabs, etc. It is made up of old concrete sidewalks, driveways, slabs, curbing, and various other concrete products. Our road base is 1.5” minus, what that means is you will have rock as large as 1.5” down to small particles, known as fines. These smaller sized particles, or fines, help fill in the gaps between the larger rocks and help bind everything together creating a nice, sturdy surface that will hold up for years to come.

Crushed concrete has a lower unit weight than mineral aggregates (natural stones like limerock or granite for example) so therefore you get a greater volume for the same weight, this gives you more material for your dollar, enhancing its economical benefits.

For the homeowner, this is a cost-effective choice for driveways as well. The material can be used alone for a practical application or can be topped with another material of your choice depending on the finished look you are trying to achieve.

Recycling and repurposing concrete is environmentally beneficial as it means fewer raw materials are wasted and existing concrete is not thrown away, ending up in landfills.
