#4 entrance stone is commonly used in the entrance and exit points of a construction site. Having large stones at the construction site entrances and exits provide stable ground for vehicles passing through as well as keep mud and sediment off public roads. As muddy tires roll over the large stone entrance paths, mud is trapped between the stones significantly reducing the amount of mud, sediment, and debris that can spin off the tires of large construction vehicles and onto public roadways.
